sunlight and daisies

Today there were unexpected daisies in a place I never planned to be. There was sunshine when we were promised rain. When I came home from getting my good shoes all muddy, walking through squelchy grass to get to the daisies, there were rosemary shadows fluttering gently on my sitting room wall like a welcoming.

And there were a couple of small disappointments too. But it's funny how they lose their weight on the heart when you are doing things for love. Not with love, because I am never quite that saintly all the time, but for love. Surrendering all else for love.

Today I gave up some books to help a friend. And I got beautiful daisies instead.

ps, the nodding quietly button no longer seems to work, I don't know why, sorry.

  2. I just found your blog Sarah and I'm so happy to have stumbled across it. You represent everything I love to read in a blog and it's so hard to find that these days.
